If you’ve ever used CyberPanel, you know it’s one of the most powerful free control panels out there. But let’s be honest—sometimes you just want it to look a little different.
How It Started (The Purple Beginning)
Back in 2022, I noticed CyberPanel had a custom design section that let you add custom CSS. I was looking for a theme that was clean and simple—something that kept the authenticity of the original layout but matched my own brand vibe.
So I built a Purple Version for my own hosting and a Dark Mode for the night owls. What started as a small personal project turned into something much bigger when I decided to submit my code as a Pull Request to the official CyberPanel repository.
And then something awesome happened: Usman Nasir (the creator of CyberPanel) accepted it. My themes became an official part of the CyberPanel theme section.
Why I Disappeared (The SSL Struggle)
A while back, I ran into some issues with SSL and user management, which led me to move my production environment to a different panel. Because I wasn’t using CyberPanel daily anymore, I stopped updating the themes.
The Return: New UI & A Quick Update
Recently, I installed CyberPanel again for a few new servers. I was pumped to see all the updates they’d made—but then I realized the UI had changed so much that my old themes were completely broken.
I couldn’t just leave it that way. So I cracked open the CSS, got to work, and fixed the compatibility for the new UI. I also renamed the project to CyberPanel VJ Themes to keep things short and simple.
A Big Thanks to the CyberPanel Team
Here’s where it gets even better. When I finished the new updates, I submitted the PR again. And guess what? Usman accepted it incredibly quickly.
Because of his quick turnaround, here’s what everyone gets:
New UI Users: You can now enjoy the updated, fixed versions of the themes that work perfectly with the latest CyberPanel.
Legacy Users: Still running an older version of the panel? No problem. The original “Legacy VJ Themes” are still there for you. Pretty cool that both new and old users are covered, right?
What’s in the Box
Here’s what makes these themes special:
Authenticity: I kept the original CyberPanel logo and structure—I’m just improving the colors and overall look. No unnecessary redesigns, just smart tweaks.
Purely for Fun: This isn’t a commercial product. I’m just a dev who likes a nice-looking dashboard and wants to help the community build better things.
Simpler Naming: Easier to find, easier to remember, easier to use.
